About
Noelle Beaudin is professional piano and organ player who is bringing a modern take to an ancient instrument – Death by Gurdy presents a contemporary take on the Hurdy Gurdy and the music of this instrument’s past, present and future. Creative and genuine – American hurdy-gurdy music at its finest.
Co-creator of GurdyWorld, she is passionate about the instrument’s public education and access. To that end, she and Max Enloe created the first East Coast based hurdy gurdy Workshop & Retreat in 2023 at Geneva Point Center in Moultonborough NH where 20 students from around the country and Canada met to learn from Sergio Gonzalez, Alison Gowan, and herself (with immense organizational work by Max Enloe). This Workshop & Retreat will continue to be a yearly event. Plans for the future include more classes for children as well as public concerts and events for education and enjoyment that will be available throughout New England and from the DeathByGurdy and GurdyWorld studios located in Sandwich, NH.
